A Japanese festival that takes place on the 7th of July (some towns celebrate 7th of August) celebrating the forbidden love of Orihime and Kengyu, who only get to meet this one night a year. They are symbolized by the stars Veg and Altair. It is customary on this day to write your wishes on a strip of paper and hang it from a bamboo tree.
